Successful Adoptions & Transitions!
Dali and Maya were hand raised from day one by none other than moi, as they were born in my yard to Palomino, a feral stray. Through a shelter/Petsmart adoption process, they were adopted to a newly divorced father and his 3 year old child. Though a home inspection & 1 hour pre-care lecture were given, and a second 'integration to a new home' session was given upon delivery of his new kittens, still, imediately against contract, the man declawed them upon the suggestion of a neighbor. The cats came back from the vets, toes glued shut - with no instruction from the vet as to 'aftercare'. The man never switched from kitty litter to newspaper, during the recuperation process. The kitties were forced to scrape their unbandaged toes in cat sand each time they had need to relieve themselves.
The kitties were returned a few months later, as the man claimed they began to pee in his laundry pile in the basement. The shelter renegged on their contract too, refusing to take them back and I was left to rescue them a day before they were to be dumped into a metal cage in a dog shelter. With a huge crew of adoptables already on board, I had to make a hard call to either let them be psychologically abused even more in the dog kennel - or take back in two potential 'piss-behaving' cats. My heart raged at the injustice done to them and so I took them back, despite my own overload situation. Here's what happened after I took them back in:

Dali found a home with a wonderful couple!
Dali was re-adopted within a few months to a young professional married couple. Here's what Dali channeled to us in a following session: Dali and Maya were initially embarrassed and humiliated that they had disappointed me by not being good kittys and being a 'failure' at their new adoption.
**Special note: Does it surprise any human that animals too have the capacity to feel shame and humiliation???
I very sternly advised Dali that they did absolutely nothing wrong and shame on the human who injured him needlessly. Dali was very appreciative that he got another chance to come back to the Starkitty ranch and heal. When he was readopted, Dali was extremely happy to be with his new people as he stated they were immediately respectful of him and honored him from the start. I found it ironic that the first man who adopted Dali claimed he was schizoid and spookish, yet I did not experience that at all when he was returned to me, and upon his re-adoption; the couple exclaimed that they were fantastically surprised that Dali went to sleep with them the very first night and has been extremely affectionate and perfectly behaved since arriving in their home.
It goes to show us all that felines are extremely reflective of the behavior that is transmitted to them from the humans that surround them. I was personally very happy to see Dali go to this couple, who from the get go - asked many questions - all with the concern of 'what would be right for the cat'. This ability to be conscious and aware of a pets living experience, is rare and indeed a breath of fresh air! It is equally ironic that when Dali and Maya arrived back at my home and were immediately placed back on the same loving regimen of TLC they were initially raised on, never once did I catch either one pissing 'out of the box'.
Maya
'The King of the Castle...I yam...I yam!'
Maya was re-adopted to a family of four in central Jersey, where farmland abounds and homes are beautiful. He was introduced to a Lady cat of the house, so right off the bat, he had a new girlfriend. Though there was competition for him, he was adopted to them because he came thru in a channeling and stated that he 'really liked that family'. Initially, I was stunned to learn that Maya and Dali had many applications placed on the Petfinder site for them, simply because they were DECLAWS! While the rest of my cats have sat unadopted for months on end, Maya and Dali, once returned to me, immediately had multiple applications come in for each.
This response to declaws speaks directly to the mass human condition of choosing 'blind ignorance' in order to emotionally dis-associate from the horrible procedures we will put a pet through, in order to allow it to live with us. It stuns me how many humans don't even bat an eye about declawing a cat - when practically none of those who have done so - ever bothered to do the research to see just how declawing will physically and emotionally affect a cat's entire life...or would bother to do proper aftercare work to ensure psychological recovery.
While many will adopt a cat and declaw it with a perfectly rational and justifiable idea that at least they are saving a life, period...what many people don't realize is that many declawed cats find their way into the shelter system because the previous owners were clueless to the high incident of 'life issues' and recuperative trauma that arises due to the declaw process itself. Some of these life issues don't emerge until many years later, when a kitty's entire organ system begins to successively collapse, because the initial declaw process shifted the cat's spine so that over time, the organs could not be properly supported.
Those same people who 'don't think first before they act' are the same ones who will immediately 'put down' their so-called beloved pet when that pet begins to cost them copious amounts of money at the vets for repeated UTI's, chronic renal failure and numerous joint & hip issues...all resultant complications from the initial declaw procedure.
Worse yet, right at the outset many owners who declaw a cat end up with worse behaviors than had they simply taken monthly care to clip the nails of their pets. Cats become biters. Cats suddenly pee elsewhere. Once friendly & outgoing kittens now suddenly run and hide. Cats become suddenly unfriendly and unsociable. Then they get dumped into the shelter system when the very humans who do this awful act to cats, now refuse to deal with the consequences. This emotionally detached human action of paying a vet astronomical fees to chop off a kitten's toes speaks loudly to the 'choice' many humans have made to create convenience to themselves, over true animal welfare of a so called 'beloved pet'.
Most people squeal and cringe when asked how they would truly feel if an alien were to come down from space, abduct them out of bed, perform invasive physical acts upon their bodies without permission and terrorize them unnecessarily. Why don't people squeal and cringe when they do EXACTLY the same thing to their BELOVED pets?
The man who originally declawed Maya and Dali didn't even know which procedure was done on the cats. Were the toes lasered off, surgically removed or blunt cut? When the cats were returned to him, with toes glued shut and no bandages, he never questioned 'pain factor' or thought that perhaps scratching newly wounded toes in loose litter might be exquisitely PAINFUL to them both. Lack of his knowledge regarding exactly how the vet he chose was to remove the toes combined with ZERO after care given, demonstrated how utterly detached this man was to his own heart. It is an exact replica of the mass general public who behaves with a similar unconscious action to injure and maim a divine creature - all for the sake of convenience to ourselves.
In the short time that I had Dali and Maya back, I worked with them psychologically, emotionally and also had their ethereal guides help them rebuild and redirect their energetic toes so that they would have the best support for their physical bodies possible in this lifetime. Yes, people - the so-called 'phantom pain' that human amputees experience is the same experience for a cat. Phantom pain upon amutation is caused by the action of cutting off the physical part without having ANY understanding that there IS INDEED, a non-physical part called the 'energy body'. Our physical organs are COMPRISED of a Universal energy that runs in specific patterns within the organ structures themselves.
In many amputee cases, the humans or animals who have their limbs cut off - feel a painful sensation of having an energy dispursement where the limb use to utilize that energy to make it work. Now the energy streams off and out of the body constantly - with no direction and causes a 'pain sensation' that never seems to leave.
When human beings begin to learn more about the connection between their invisble SOULS and their physical BODIES, they will begin to understand much more about their unconscious behaviors and their lack of knowledge of how their true physical bodies actually energetcially work! When people get confused about all of the alternative therapies available - how they actually work on the body to heal it - it is because they do not fully understand how they are 'energetcially connected' to EVERYTHING in this world.
Part of the feline agenda of this website is to help humans to understand exactly what that 'energetic connection' is all about so that many of the human behaviors that are acted out on the planet, will come to be seen as 'unconscious and spiritually detached' behaviors that help to keep Earth in it's state of non-balance and turmoil.
Though declawing you cat may seem a mico issue compared to the world issues we face - it is yet one more aspect of the 'dis-eased symptom' of mass human consciousness operating in it's most ignorant, dis-heartened state. Back in theor old familiar surroundings where they had been raised with love and support of their whole being-ness - not once did either pee outside of their box! In fact, reports by their respective new owners declared also, that both kitties were very well behaved and 'perfectly litter trained'. It goes to show you the major influence 'human behavior' can have on a cat's outward behavior!

Samy Reunited with Dali!
About 8 months after Dali was adopted out, the couple who adopted him called me to adopt another kitty to be his companion. I immediately knew who should go - Samy - Dali's sister! It was a perfect match. Samy was highly unadoptable because she would hiss at everyone in the stores. She stated she did not like the energy of 'grabby, needy' human beings. These types she said, would never grasp the wisdom she had to offer and therefore she fought adoption. One very immature man in fact, heard her hiss and took to purposefully poking her through the cage with a store item in order to 'get back at her' and upset her even more.
Where does this sadistic human behavior even come from, I ask?
Dali's new parents, a very gentle, 'respectful to all animals' couple, report that Samy and Dali have integrated well and make a very happy family. Dali and Samy are of Dolphin consciousness. They say they switch back and forth between dolphin form and feline form when they change lives. They are both exquisitely happy in their new home.
Changes For Zorro and Isobel-Dino
The Evolution of All
Palos other boy babies were initially adopted by a divorced man and lived in a very eloquent house at first. With the big ceiling to floor windows screens, I initialy advised the man that perhaps he should keep the floor windows shut to prevent them from escaping. Since Isobel was shy and scared at first, I advised him to introduce them into one room only, for up to three months - until he was able to pick up, hold and cuddle both cats easily.
This bonding technique is an imperative step in successfully integrating cats to a new owner and the owners household. Because cats are extremely sensitive to energetic changes. Unlike dogs whose energy is denser and more 'physically oriented', cats often need gentle and more carefully planned transitions. When executed correctly, the three month plan sets up a deeply intimate and rewarding experience for new owners, and a lifetime of a cats affection and loyalty can far outweigh the effort required by humans to put forth those first few integrative months. But alas, not everyone listens to advice given!
Within the first week, the man released the kittens to the very large house and let them have full run of the home. He initially saw no harm in letting them run free. While Zorro was naturally bold and people friendly, without any bonding effort on the part of the new owner, shy Isobel remained distant. Months later and left to play alone all day with his brother, the man could not even get near Isobel. Unbeknownst to me, I later found out he was letting them both out to roam the streets during the day. With so much room for exploration and so little emotional care given to him, Isobel easily reverted to feral-like behavior. Too many fun outdoor things too explore - too little attention given by owner can sometimes = feral-like reversion, especially if it is a shy cat to begin with.
Though the kitties give great credit to the man who adopted them for being open minded enough to try his first channeling session with them several months later, the man misunderstood the purpose of the channeling and dismissed the emotional effort he would still be required to put forth in order to bond with Isobel. Mental effort alone to understand is a first step - but it is a far cry from 'behavioral effort'. This human behavior is a common epidemic on the planet at this time, for humanity has spent generations behaving without much thought as to how they are directly affecting the living realities of all other living beings that surround them. This dis-connection from the proper and full use of heart energy is mirrored in this situation. Here is a prime example of what you put out into the world, you get out of the world in return.
We cannot just create our reality from our minds. It is the combination of utilizing the mind and the heart that creates a balanced world.
Though the common human response to a situation like this is to automatically blame the cat, (as in the case of Dali and Maya's initial owner), or to rationalize that the cat was never friendly to begin with, in this case it was not true for Isobel had been blessed on his first day and cuddled and kissed and held each day of his life up until his adoption. In the beginning, he was very touchable and holdable. But in a new and relatively spacious yet unaffectionate environment, for one shy and sensitive kitty, this outcome was bound to occur. In this case, Isobel mirrorred the man's heart to him. Cats do that. Ther are a far more challenging aspect of our personal behaviors that we care to admit.
These stories are IMPORTANT lessons to all humans about how their projected behaviors 'create' circumstances in their lives. The first owners took no responsibilies for the outcome. The second owners innately did and hence the cats immediately reflected back the warmth and affection to those humans. All animals are reflective of their immediate environment.
One day, out of the blue, the man moved from his home into a new apartment. The cats were shifted from a life of much space and exploration to a small room in his girlfriend's aparment. The sudden shift into a confined space with different energy was a shock to Isobel. That's when I got the call from the man that Isobel was headed for a shelter. He was untouchable, unfriendly and they could not even get him into a carrier for transport. I channeled Isobel immediately and here's what Isobel said:
"When the man chose not to bond and emotionally care for me, I was ok with that at first because, if he didn't care, then I didn't care either. I am very much like the man in personality, in fact, I mimick for him who he is. There was so much fun in roaming the neighborhood and exploring the house with Zorro - I did not miss not bonding with the man at all. I was fed, comfortable and played alot with my friend and brother Zorro. What I did not know was that my normal cat behavior would cause me to face an issue of complete abandonment and possible caged life in a shelter system when the man got tired of living with me. I never counted on the bad possibilites that could happen as a result. I did not expect to have to do all the relational work on my own and then get punished for not complying to an indifferent man."
I showed Isobel psychic pictures of what could happen to him if he did not at least try to become immediately friendlier and asked Zorro to help him with socialization - to try to save him from being caged and sheltered or from being completely released and abandoned in the dead of winter, which is a typical behavior for when humans want to dismiss a 'problem' they are facing quickly. On stray kitty overload and with zero room left at the Starkitty premesis, I had no capability for immediately bringing a now socially reverted feral cat back on board to be re-socialized. I asked the man to be patient while we channeld Isobel for ideas on how to work with him and so that I could prepare Isobel for changes. He was agreeable for he did indeed care for the cat still - but was not easily in touch with how to project forth emotional love from his heart. This is a common male affliction, having to do with generations of 'male conditioning' to ignore the value of the 'love frequency' and how it is instrumental in 'creating' a balanced world. Men are generally taught from young childhood to leave 'the love business' to the women of the planet. This unfortunately sets up an immediate energetic imbalance of the yin/yang energy.
IRONICALLY, Isobel's message to humanity as featured in the SK WISDOM page, is to balance the yin and the yang within!
Via channeling with the cats, Isobel agreed that he would try very hard to bond with the man's girlfriend, with whom they now lived so that he could stay with Zorro, if the woman would be ammenable to trying to bond with him. Isobel and Zorro both felt that the man had completely disconnected and would not be likely to try. But the woman Isobel was now living with just happened to be a very evolved energy healer and instinctively began to work on Isobel, at the same time we tapped her energy and asked for spiritual help for Iso. This is a prime example of how humans on a psychic level can and do indeed 'hear' psychically, even if consciously, they do not register the messages.
I then spoke directly with the woman healer and found her to be very much in sync with my desire to 'save' Isobel from a horrible outcome. After all, my very work is about rescuing strays from the harsh streets. The last thing any rescuer wants to face is the fact that they've adopted a rescue to a family that would ultimately relese the cat back to the harsh reality from which it was initially saved from! Sensing that he was 'special' she had already begun healing sessions on Isobel who was now renamed Dino. I filled her in on the information Dino gave to us, so that she could be more in tune with Dino's whole life story.
Though we learned early on that because Isobel's Mommy was initially feral and fearful; Isobel who was very close to Mommy, picked up on the fear energy and thought that it was necessary to be cautious always. Since many months had passed and unbeknownst to Isobel, Mommy Palomino had learned how to trust and be stroked ultimately, we asked his Mother to send new signals to him so that he could unlearn some of his earlier training. However, without human help - this becomes a near impossible feat for a cat to do alone. With the energy of teh Starkitty forces behind him, Zorro his brother beside him and an ever so patient woman healer, I am deeply hopeful that Dino will come to be seen and valued as the very special being that he is. The woman healer has already intuited this. We have offered her connection, psychic sessions with Dino and silent spiritual support for both of them.
These amazing revelations by the cats, help us humans to understand more about the very significant impact 'unseen energetic information' has when it passes from one animal to another. It also helps us to understand that when we don't take full responsibility to emotionally care for our new pets - as well as just feeding them, they mimick back to us the blockages in our hearts. In loving Memory of Red
Spring 06 - Red currently comes to my porch every morning and every evening. He first made occasional visits around summer of 2004, just prior to Thumbelina's arrival. By the time Thumbelina and Palomino bithed their babies, he stated the property got too crowded and he disappeared. At that time we channeled Red, he said that his human people didn't care about him and wouldn't even think to let him in at night so he could get out of the freezing cold of winters. Often times I found him at my porch step after midnight. He stated then that in the experience of rejection, he established for himself a 'route' where he found sympathetic humans from time to time who would toss him a kibble or two here and there. Red took to doing energetic 'land clearing' on behalf of the indian nation, of which he claimed was his ancestoral lineage. He roamed a span of about five miles as it was part of his 'healing mission'. He took his job very seriously. Though Red disappeared for a summer and fall when the property got too crowded, he showed up again on Xmas day 2005 - hungry and cold. With 20 kitties now on board I could not take him in.
Red survived winter by daily feedings at my porch and with garage access to buffer him from the winds. But by spring, he expressed that he became lost and tired and felt no one loved him. He stated that while he felt I was a nice human who took pity on him, he didn't believe anyone would ever truly care about him. I told him that he was indeed lovable and that he was very much a part of our family, even if he must remain an outdoor kitty. Though the Starkittys immediately took Red into the family fold emotionally and energetically, it took quite a while for Red to really believe it was 'him' we actually wanted and loved.
Red is now a model for the Starkitty website. He has given his quote (SK WISDOM SECTION) and in my work with him, towards the end of his life, he has realized how very much he truly is loved. The Starkitty feline family completely embraced Red's spirit while here and many summer days Red sat near the Starkitty kennel to 'be' with them. Much information between him and the Starkittys has been exchanged.
'Bring peace to the land people. It's your sacred ground!'
Red says that as an ascendant of the NJ/PA indian tribes his primary work is with the plants, flowers, bushes and trees. Red is very affectionate and deserves a chance to live out his life in the safe shelter and care of loving arms. If ANYONE feels an affinity or this very special 'healer' kitty, please contact me immediately! I want to get him off the streets before its too late!
Aug 06 update - Red is very gravely ill and will be leaving the planet soon. He stated that he got into a fight with another feral and contracted a form of 'kitty aids'. I have been keeping vigil with him for the past week. I have called all the elders / ancestors and our own Egyptian icons to stand by awaiting for Red's return. Red has been an exceptional animal friend and we will channel with him throughout his passage process.
Sept 14 update - In August, on one summer's eve I requested assistance from Anubis (ancient Egyption icon), who is very much a living consciousness and who works with the Starkittys; in the effort that Red may have opportunity to be gifted energy that he might need to assist him through his difficult dis-ease process. This request was simply to enable Red the choice of utilizing energies that could ease him in his difficult transition. It was up to Red to choose to accept the gifting. Anubis gave Red a shot of divine force which enabled him to rebound physically for a short time. For a short few weeks Red exhibited an unusual degree of heartiness despite his physical condition. During this time Red chose to surrender to my assistance as well and he has finally relinquished his nights in the wild for the comfort and safety of my cellar; so that he could rest deep and reserve energies for his days.
During the days, he sits in the grass and simply enjoys watching the other Starkittys play in their outdoor enclosure. Since much of Red's life was reflective of neglect and abuse by humans, it was my desire to fully accept Red into our lives, as the very lovable and sacred being that he is, despite his contagious condition. Provisions were made to integrate Red into as much of the Starkitty daily activity as possible, while maintaining full safety for the remaining Starkittys.
In this additional time we have been granted, I have been able to fully 'seat within Red's consciousness' the experience of being honored, cherished and deeply loved. Red has found his family, his home tribe and has had ongoing relations with many of the Starkittys, who opened their hearts to his plight. Red has found that he has a huge family in physicality and now has been granted the ethereal keys to the Starkitty's invisible guidance system as well. Despite most terminally ill animals, Red has chosen not to go off and hide to die, but to eat, sleep and be near all until he can no longer 'be' physical. Though I anticipate Red's departure to be relatively soon, I am certain that he will leave this world and this experience, a beloved and much cherished spirit. It is a far cry from what he once knew of 'life'.
Red Watches Over The Starkitty Ranch
Sept 21, 2006 - Red passed to spirit world this past week. He was able to spend his last few days lying in the grass, in close company of the Starkittys in their Garden Ranch. Red and I had some very cherished moments of deep sharing this past week. Prompted by my encouragement to let go of his ragged old body for the opportunity of choosing a new form perhaps this coming spring, Red chose a place of his own to rest his weary body and greet his guides. Though I am fully aware Red has made the transition, the natural grief over never being able to see him in his old form again has hit hard. Through many tears, feelings of personal loss and joy for his spiritual return & ongoing evolution are intermingled. 'Red, we shall miss you as you were GREATLY. But we look forward to who you 'become' in the future'.
We will channel Red's spirit in October to see what he relays about his own transition.
November 2006 - Upon channeling Red, we found that indeed he was with his ancestors. We spoke about the conditions of the planet and the cherished time we had together. Red said that I was a very good student. (Funny how we humans think we are rescuing animals and animals state they are teaching us). Red stated that his ancestors were all very sad for what has happened on planet Earth and many were crying. I tried to assure Red and his anscestors that though conditions here, resultant of unconscious human activity, were chaotic and disturbing; there were indeed humans here who were trying to remember, and they should not to give up hope. It was hard to feel the upset of the ancestors. Red stated he would rest through winter. I will contact him again in the spring. I would like to encourage him to make a wise incarnational choice, for being a stray cat in a city-like environment, is a difficult path. Perhaps taking another form might be easier on his spirt the next time around. I assured him the Starkitty's would remain his kindred spirit Earth family, no matter what he chose to do.
